Sporting KC signs André Luiz for club-record $18M

Sporting Kansas City has signed Brazilian forward André Luiz as a designated player. The five-year contract comes with a club-record transfer fee paid to Greek side Olympiacos, the MLS club said. Kansas City called the deal a record for the club, though it did not disclose the exact fee. The 24-year-old becomes the latest designated player signing in Major League Soccer this window.
