Scaloni confirms Lautaro Martinez in Argentina captaincy group

Lionel Scaloni has confirmed that Lautaro Martinez is part of Argentina's captaincy group. The Inter striker steps into that role after Lionel Messi's retirement from the national team. Scaloni, who manages the side, named Martinez among the players he will lean on for leadership. Martinez has been a regular for Argentina and now takes on more responsibility in the squad. Nothing further has been confirmed about how the group is split or who else is in it.
