Alexandre Pato consortium strikes deal with Northampton Town

Northampton Town have agreed a deal with Sports Alpha Capital, the consortium that includes former Chelsea and Brazil forward Alexandre Pato. The club put out an official statement confirming the agreement, which brings fresh backing to the League One side. Pato, who had a short spell at Chelsea in 2016, is part of the group. No figures or timescale have been given. Northampton finished the season in League One.
