160 Irish athletes sign letter urging Ireland to boycott Israel fixtures

More than 160 Irish athletes have signed an open letter calling on the Ireland football team to boycott fixtures against Israel. The signatories include Olympian Ciara Mageean, Gaelic games great Rena Buckley and former rugby international Tony Ward. The letter was reported by The 42. It does not say whether the FAI or the players have responded. Ireland's men's team has been drawn against Israel in recent qualifying campaigns.
