Owen backs Harry Kane for Ballon d'Or, ending 25-year wait

Michael Owen has backed Harry Kane to win the Ballon d'Or and join an exclusive club of British winners. The last Englishman to lift the award was Owen himself back in 2001. Kane is being tipped for the prize ahead of the likes of Kylian Mbappe, and Owen reckons the striker is bang in contention. A win would end a 25-year wait for a British player to take the trophy.
