Manchester United have made contact over a £42million target as the club lines up its next signing. It comes as a separate transfer is confirmed for a sizeable fee, with supporters still waiting on the big piece of business they want before the season kicks off. Nothing is done on the £42m front yet, but talks at least appear to be moving. United are keen to get deals over the line in the coming weeks.
