Atlanta NWSL expansion team named Atlanta City FC

Atlanta's NWSL expansion team will be called Atlanta City FC. The club starts play in 2028. The name comes with new colors, a peach and red scheme that nods to the city's peach ties. Atlanta is the latest city to land an NWSL side as the league keeps growing. Details on the badge, stadium or roster are not in yet. For now, it's a name and a look, with a 2028 kickoff to build toward.
