Preston sack Paul Heckingbottom after six defeats in seven

Preston North End have sacked Paul Heckingbottom. The decision comes after six defeats in seven league games left the club second bottom of the Championship. Heckingbottom had been in charge at Deepdale, and the run of results has put Preston in the relegation places early in the season. No replacement has been named yet. More to follow.
