Liverpool agree deal for Barcelona defender to cover injuries

Liverpool have agreed a deal to sign a Barcelona defender, giving Andoni Iraola the cover he wanted. Iraola has been after defensive depth since Joe Gomez and Conor Bradley picked up injuries. The new signing can play both centre-back and right-back, which gives Liverpool some flexibility at the back. The Mirror reports the move is done. Health permitting, the player gives Iraola more options in a squad that has been stretched in defence.
