Fenerbahce president blocks Kartal resignation after Roma draw

Ismail Kartal said he was resigning as Fenerbahce coach right after the 1-1 draw with Roma. Club president Aziz Yildirim stepped in and said Kartal stays in the job. So the resignation is not going through. That is where it stands for now. Neither side has said anything more about why Kartal wanted out or how long he will stay.
