Mohamed Elneny joins bottom club on free transfer

Mohamed Elneny has signed for the club sitting bottom of the table, arriving on a free transfer. The Egyptian midfielder was a free agent after leaving Arsenal, where he spent several seasons and won trophies. He brings Premier League and Europa League experience to a side fighting near the foot of the standings. The move is a short-term fix for a squad short on midfield know-how, and it gets Elneny back playing regular football.
